David Baxter

David Baxter is a graduate of the University of Washington with Bachelors degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology. While employed at ISB, he has been involved in a wide range of research projects. He joined ISB as a member of the Hood Lab and worked on projects including Prion research, Type-2 diabetes, Alzheimers disease, influenza infection, hospital acquired sepsis, and Lyme Disease. He has significant experience studying gene and micro-RNA expression using high-throughput Next-Generation-Sequencing platforms. Recently he has joined the Rob Moritz lab to continue this work and apply that knowledge to large scale plasma proteomic studies.
