Doug Spicer is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology. His early work included studies in diabetic nephropathy, longevity, diagnostics sequencing, PRION Disease, and therapeutic antibody discovery. In 2009 he joined Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) working on the Peptide Atlas project for Dr. Robert Moritz. He moved to clinical diagnostics at Integrated Diagnostics (INDI), where he participated in the team effort to transition the technology of a Lung Biomarker discovery assay to full commercial laboratory operations with Medicare approval. He recently has returned to his passion, which is research at ISB with Dr. Robert Moritz to continue his contributions to proteomic research.
