Jaipal Panga

Research Scientist

Dr. Jaipal Reddy Panga obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Osmania University and completed his Master’s in Biochemistry from the University of Pune, India in 2008. He obtained his Doctoral degree in 2016 from the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India under the supervision of Dr. Sanjeeva Srivastava and Prof. Dulal Panda. During his Ph.D, he worked on global proteome analysis of B. subtilis under natural drug treatment and investigating their role in cell division. He also worked as research scientist with Prof. Pramod Wangikar at Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay on “proteomics profiling of cyanobacteria for improving the biofuel production”. He is the author of quite a few scientific publications, reviews and editorials in reputed journals. He also participated in the development of open source proteomic tutorials such as Virtual Proteomics Laboratory, Clinical Proteomics Remote Triggering Virtual Laboratory, Open Source Courseware Animations Repository (OSCAR), National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and MOOC course at IIT Bombay. He has been involved as an instructor in several workshops on “Gel-based Proteomics” and “Mass Spectrometry Proteomics” held at IIT Bombay.
