Kelly graduated from the University of Washington in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Her undergraduate work focused on uncovering associations between HIV and enteropathogenic E. coli infection-associated mortality in children, the impact of diet on Y. enterocolitica virulence, and low-cost single-cell RNA sequencing method development. 

She joined the Moritz Lab in 2021, where she primarily works on projects related to longevity and protein expression.
